It has been a long time!!!
Last night for the 1st time in almost 5 years I started scrapbooking again!!! I have made 1 or 2 attempts before but not really seriously; but last night i dragged out the tote and the pictures and got to work. It is was lots of fun but sad to know that I am missing chunks of photos that either my Mother, sister or brother have. The good thing is that if I do get more pictures I can also stick pages in as I have to..... One good thing about these books.
I did notice how scrapbooking has changed since I first started... Now there are soooo many things that you can add to the pages. It is neat to see the difference in the pages I did about 6-7 years ago and the ones I am doing now!!! I think that maybe some time I will go back and change them... but I think its neat to see how I have grown... That way if I am slack one day.... you can't tell the difference!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!
What has kinda kicked my ass into gear is the fact I had 2 full shoe boxes of photos under my bed. Since moving to my new place I have been on a kick to cut back on the shit I have. So i figure if I can scrapbook all the pictures I want into albums the rest (that I want) can go into a book .... some great kid pics just don't go and I don't want to throw them out since I know I am missing years of photos. I must say that I love the fact that I have about 3 years of photos sitting on my hard drive... with a couple of back up copies... don't fret!!! They are not taking up room!!! The other thing is that a friend who is very crafty, Shelly, has started selling, hosting or whatever you call it "Stampin' up". http://www.stampinup.com/ca/enc/default.asp You can also check out Shelly's blog in my Friend section once I get it added.
Now I am not nearly as creative as Shelly but I don like to do these things and some of the stuff I think I can use so I thought "If i start scrapping again maybe I can learn some of the new techniques that people are doing". So look forward to seeing some cards and different things coming your way made by Liz...the uncrafty scrapbooker!!!

I've been really bad at keeping up with my scrapbooks too. I need to get it in gear again. Before my year of maternity leave was over, I got everything finished up until the "pregnancy and waiting for baby" section (only 8-10 pages or so). I had it all scheduled and laid out, and just needed to get it done. I still hadn't even started on Owen's books, and he was rapidly approaching the 11 months old mark.
That was last December.
I still haven't finished those 8-10 pages ( I might have gotten 2 done - whoopie!), and now Owen is 14 months old, and I havne't done anything except clean all teh scrapbooking stuff up and put it away (when we thought we were moving). I probably have the first 9 or 10 months of Owen's life (in scarpbooking) all mapped out with what pictures I want on each page with a hint of a theme here and there, but that's it.
The only thing I am an top of now is getting my photos printed - at least I have them all in date order too. What I need is a weekend (or even a full day) where Gabe takes Owen and I have the house to myself to mess all up, and just work, work, work.
Sigh. Owen will probably be 5 before that happens.
nice read! thanks, from the uk
