Places to see...

As I was writing my previous post I realized that I had stopped living in the moment after last July! Last Spring when everything was going on I said to myself that I was going to live and do everything I wanted to do. It was like a wake up call that we shouldn't put this off. I know that over the years people have said that to us but I know I have always brushed them off. Well, last year I took it to heart. I did do a couple of the things I had been meaning to do and made the effort to do things that I a really couldn't afford but wanted to do.
Now looking back I realize that I have started to put things off saying I can do that later and there is always time for that....
Well, I plan on stopping that now. I am going to start by creating a list of the different countries that I want to visit and I am going to make a deal with myself that I will visit these cites and I will visit 1 of them within the next 2 years! I know there are other things that I want to do and I am sure my list of places will change and more will be added but for now here is a list of the following places.
  • England
  • Ireland
  • Scotland
  • Italy
  • Paris
  • New York
  • Boston
  • Disneyland
  • Hawaii
  • St. Thomas
  • Greece

I would like to challenge everyone to create a list of things and or places they would like to see and do and then make a goal on how they will succeed!

One Year Today!!

Well, I can now say that it has been one year ago today that I had that huge nasty lump removed (18 July) & given the OK that I was CA free (all along)!!!!!!!!!!!
Today I celebrated by working (teehee) and now I am kicking back with a vodka & coke!!! The even better news is that I have lots more feeling in my face then I expected & the scar has faded a lot!! I am glad to report that no one other then the very rude patients ask me what happened to my face and I haven't had that for a couple of months!! YIPPY!
Well, I think I am off to celebrate some more!

The beach!

This is a bit late but on Sunday, July 16th I spent my first day at the beach!!!!
I must say that it was a lot of fun. I went with Meghan, who has a cottage on a private beach....
very high class!! :)
Anyways, while there I was able to soak up about 4 or 5 hours in the hot hot sun... without sunscreen!!! I am a bit red. You can check out the pictures below! Now 4 days later the burn has faded and left some of a tan!
The day was fun we vegged and took a couple dips in the ocean..... I did get stung by Jellyfish but it wasn't bad.... The next time I go I will take pictures of us and our hair after swimming in the salt water!!!
This is my shoulder. I was wearing a short sleeve shirt.

This is one of my burnt leg.

The Cats on POT!!

I just wanted to share with everyone some of the fun that has been happening at my house. The other day Helen (from Chilliwack) sent me a package which included a gift for the cats ... some Cat Nip or Kitty Pot! well I must say they went crazy... they ripped apart the mailed envelope and they snotted the wrapper... It was a bit crazy... after about 20 mins they all laid around and kinda passed out before going and snacking. Here are some pictures of the fun they had!
The wrapper the kitty pot came in. If you look
you can see the wet ink!

Yoda has taken to chasing his tail like a DOG!
He has caught it here... He bites it and the cry's.

Slightly stoned... or just crazy

Hair Colour Disaster

I just wanted to send out a warning to everyone that colours their own hair.... I don't recommend the highlighting kit with the mascara brush!!
I used it on my hair last night & I have a wee bit of a disaster...... I have a dark brown base... which according to the box was to be light brown and only the highlights right on top!! of my head showed up with bits and pieces in other parts!!
I will now have to wait and recolour in a few weeks...
this mess might push ahead my plans to go shorter.....
Here is a picture of the packaging to stay away from.
If anyone has used these highlighting kits and could recommend a good one I am looking!
