Weather

I must say I still have yet to adjust to the fact that I can't wear my birks year round!! You would think that after almost 5 years!!! Yuppers I said 5 big olds!!! That I would be used to not wearing them year round but now that the snow is almost gone... Just the huge ass snow piles to go that you could wear birks and a light jacket... let me tell you that nope its still a wee bit chilly. to do that you must have the heat on high in the car!!!! Or else your toes go blue like mine do!!! Not a pretty sight.

The exciting part is that in 20 days I will be waerign birks!!!! I don't think I will take any shoes that are not open toed... hmmm maybe a pair of hiking shoes.... I need them to go walking in but other then that NONE!!!!!

BRING ON SUMMER BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The trip!!

Just a few more weeks (20 Days) and I will be heading to the West Coast for some fun in the sun... or maybe rain....who knows and who cares!!! It has been a long 2 years since I have been out and I am looking forward to seeing everyone! Now, the last time I was out Kelly & Jason where getting married... Cheyenne (my niece) was 4 months old now she is over 2 yrs old, Sara and David was not married and had no kids, now they are married with a new baby boy, Ethan!!! While Amy and Gabe was prego but had not told us.. or maybe they didn't know...hmmm anywho they now have a baby boy who's over 1 year!!

Facebook

Everyone has been talking about this "Facebook" thing.
Yesterday I recieved an email from Sara saying that I was one of her "friends" in this Facebook craze. I thought well what the hell i have turned down others because i was just too busy at that time to sign up & fill out all the this that one must when they join .
So I login and do all this stuff. If you have joined or have attempted to join do you find it bloody hard to understand what the hell is going on? I thought I was in my area but then I am browsing a friends friends! Then I try and add a friend but I can't find her butI can click on all her friends and see her!
I think that my stint with this "Facebook" will be short and not overly sweet.

The New Book

I am not sure if I had shared with you the fact that I purchased a new cookbook? I had read about it in one of my cooking blogs.. or was it 2 of them... Hmmm
Anyways, Since it had such great reviews I thought " Self, we should buy that book and give it a go"

Well, I did buy it and so far of the 2 recipes that I have tried I am not happy. I will have to put it aside for now and have a go at it again later right now I am too mad that I don't like the stuff. It's not like I am trying crazy things!! I tried a cake and then a scone recipe!! These things are basics. I will have to go back to my Purity and Canadian Living Cookbook.

Scrapbooking again!

It has been a long time!!!

Last night for the 1st time in almost 5 years I started scrapbooking again!!! I have made 1 or 2 attempts before but not really seriously; but last night i dragged out the tote and the pictures and got to work. It is was lots of fun but sad to know that I am missing chunks of photos that either my Mother, sister or brother have. The good thing is that if I do get more pictures I can also stick pages in as I have to..... One good thing about these books.


I did notice how scrapbooking has changed since I first started... Now there are soooo many things that you can add to the pages. It is neat to see the difference in the pages I did about 6-7 years ago and the ones I am doing now!!! I think that maybe some time I will go back and change them... but I think its neat to see how I have grown... That way if I am slack one day.... you can't tell the difference!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!

What has kinda kicked my ass into gear is the fact I had 2 full shoe boxes of photos under my bed. Since moving to my new place I have been on a kick to cut back on the shit I have. So i figure if I can scrapbook all the pictures I want into albums the rest (that I want) can go into a book .... some great kid pics just don't go and I don't want to throw them out since I know I am missing years of photos. I must say that I love the fact that I have about 3 years of photos sitting on my hard drive... with a couple of back up copies... don't fret!!! They are not taking up room!!! The other thing is that a friend who is very crafty, Shelly, has started selling, hosting or whatever you call it "Stampin' up". http://www.stampinup.com/ca/enc/default.asp You can also check out Shelly's blog in my Friend section once I get it added.

Now I am not nearly as creative as Shelly but I don like to do these things and some of the stuff I think I can use so I thought "If i start scrapping again maybe I can learn some of the new techniques that people are doing". Time flies

I was sitting on the couch tonight after hanging with Meghan; and I mean I was hanging with her. She bought an inversion table last month & I had yet to try it.... so we had a chat as I tried to get the thingto work.... I must sayI really, really liked it!!!

What has been going on in my life....

I celebrated St. Patricks day with Meghan & her friends by drinking wine, champagne & tearign wallpaper off her front hallway. I was up to 5am i headed to bed at 530 which was very early but I had to work that night so I packed it in early.

I have also been working a lot as of late... or maybe it just seems like a lot... hmmm nope I checked its been my crazy part of my rotation. The good news is that in ... 27 days I will be heading to BC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must say that I am very very excited to be going.

On the travel front it sounds like I will be taking a bus tour to New York in November. Trish has a lead on a 7 day old peopel tour that we are thinking of going on. I would love!! to see New York. Then in September of 2008... just over a year from now Meghan and I have changed our minds we are not going to go to Italy..... we are going to Ireland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I am a bit more excited about that then Italy & I was very excited about it!!!!!


Hmmmm...I think that is it for a while I really don't have that much more to share.

Who am I?????????

For those of you that haven't heard about this name mix up here is a funny story.

My friend Trish and I both started working on our floor at the sametime. We look nothing alike but the staff will call us each others names. It has been getting better but still some will call me Trish and others call her Liz.

Now this morning as I was calling Nursing Office for the extra 30 mins of OT that I worked. I told them that I was Elizabeth an RN on 5100 and that i was just leaving my night shift... Now Nursing office has no sweet clue who the hell i am. I am just a name & I am sure they have never seen me... they say you are elizabeth "blank". I say NO I am elizabeth "so & so". They say okay....

They used Trish's LAST NAME!!! What the hell!! Even they, who have i am sure never meet us, can't tell us apart!!!! I makes you just want to cry at the waste of time it is to say no I am liz not trish.

The Bath

For those of you who have ever tried to bath a cat ....... it is bloody crazy!! I mean the screaming and the scratching. Today was the Fatmans bath. He is fat & unable to really groom himself so I thought to get rid of all the dandruff an oatmeal bath would be good......

HAHAHAHAHA!!!

The joke was on me.... I had him screaming and then the other 2 cats where screaming and trying to claw me to see what I was doing to the Fatman... it was not a pretty sight. Here are a couple of pictures after when Mr. Mooche was cleaning himself up.
