I have jsut made my first sick call to work in over 7 years. I have no idea why I hate the idea of calling in sick other people do it all the time. To do it I need to talk my self in to the fact that "yes, I feel like shit and No, I shouldn't work." then after the guilt starts to set in... Why is that?
I know that I am not really able to provide good care to my patients I have no problem saying no if I am asked to come in but I am in No condition to. So, what is the difference???

I know a few people like you too. Unfortunatley for my employers (past, present, and future) I use every single one of my sick days each tear. I have such a poor immune system. In fact, when SARS first hit Canada, my Doctor called me to get shots becasue she was so worried about me. Same thing when the meningitis scare hit the Lower Mainland a few years ago.
